This future-focused social inquiry unit, written for year 7–8 students, debunks myths and stereotypes about the agricultural sector of New Zealand’s primary industries. This resource links to the New Zealand Curriculum learning areas of health and physical education, social studies, technology, and English, and aims to help teachers and students in primary schools investigate and understand more about the importance of farming to New Zealand and the variety of jobs available within the primary industries.
